Spirit break out.

Last night I slept for 10 hours.

Straight.
10 whole hours of uninterrupted, wonderful, wake-up-feeling-fresh-as-a-daisy sleep.
It’s amazing how God sometimes refreshes you physically in order to focus you spiritually.
I guess a bit like when Elijah was strengthened for the journey in 1 Kings 19.
And I do feel strengthened.
Strengthened.

On my hours and hours of driving over the last few days I have loved the good-focused-unhurried time to pray, talk to God oh-so-naturally, intercede about the things that He has placed on my heart and sing out-loud songs of praise.
To take in the panoramic views of creation.

And one song has been the theme of my heart as I have prayed over the nations and sung over friends and cried out for Holy Spirit to pour out in a new way. It’s by Worship Central, but sung on Kim Walker-Smith’s latest album… (Surprise, surprise, I love it!!)

Our Father, all of heaven roars Your name

Sing louder, let this place erupt with praise
Can you hear it? The sound of heaven touching earth
The sound of heaven touching earth

Spirit break out, break out walls down
Spirit break out, heaven come down

King Jesus, You’re the name we’re lifting high
Your glory, shaking up the earth and skies
Revival, we want to see your Kingdom here
We want to see Your Kingdom here

And that second verse especially has summed up my intercessory-heart-cry.
Lifting up the precious, precious Name of our mighty, mighty King, over the world that He loves so, so, much.
Over the people that He loves so, so, much.

Seeing the Kingdom of God come.

I was chatting with one of my beautiful work-mates today, and she was sharing about the impact one of my Christian friends had made on her in the time she had known him. She made a comment that stuck with me:

It’s like he really shows what Jesus is like through his character being a bit like I imagine Jesus’ would be.’

Wow. What a great testimony.

And I was thinking about how Holy Spirit graciously uses us to bring the Kingdom.
And praying that God would graciously use me to bring the Kingdom.
That in my life, His name would be lifted high.
That the sound of my heart’s praise would resonate out of a life that pleases His heart.
That my life would erupt with worship.
Spirit break out.
