It’s 7pm on a Friday night.
And I am about to get changed into my pyjamas.
And go to bed.
How cool am I?!
Now, although I must confess that I am an early-night-lover (mainly because I am an early morning lover!), 7pm is a bit extreme, even for me.
The reason, before you ask, is that this is my birthday weekend (I reach the lofty heights of 28 years old on Monday!), and me and three of my most-awesome and wonderful friends are leaving for Alton Towers at 2am tomorrow morning.
It sounds ridiculous. It probably is a bit ridiculous. My friend Louise is considering doing an all-nighter which is even more ridiculous! 🙂
But I am excited.
I have just had what we’ve fondly named ‘first Birthday’, where I have opened the beautiful presents that Becca, Louise and Lisa have blessed me with.
And these girls know me so well… Check it out —>
Birds, butterflies, journals and bags are the themes of the evening.
I am loved. I am blessed. And I am free.
God is so good to me.
And we have a day at Alton towers, followed a meal (being joined by my parents and some more English friends), followed by a night in a lovely hotel, followed by a drive back to Scotland and church in Edinburgh, followed by another meal with more friends, and home for church on Sunday night in Inverness.
A good friend told me a few days ago that they felt I had come into a season of liberty and joy that they loved to see.
And I wholeheartedly agree.
Thank You Jesus.
I love You with everything I am.
