Open eyes & a victorious God.

So I think I’ve finished this painting.

I think.

Read 2 Kings chapter 6.

Then open your eyes.

And see my ever-so-limited-human-interpretation.

Remember, this is a huge canvas (see yesterday’s blog for a size perspective!)

This is actually a passage that I use to pray over some great friends of mine who play live Christian music in town on a Saturday night. Because it reminds me of the reality of God’s victory, even when in the physical reality it can seem overwhelming.

And our God is always victorious.

We just need to pray that He will open our eyes.

Our spiritual eyes.

The eyes of our heart.

Tonight was also made beautiful by the fact that I got to eat incredible tapas in the late evening sun with some of my favourite people. I would quite like to finish every day like this if I am totally honest. πŸ™‚
